| This page is really to recognize our parents for the love & support they have given us through the years, and continue to give us even today. We chose to write each of them a sweet "love" note to express our sentiments. | | Mike and Donna Broughton
Mike
Dear Dad,
Words can never express how much I miss you, and how I ache for you to be present on our wedding day. You were my father, and also a best friend. You allowed me learn through my own life experiences (rather than preach to me what I should or shouldn't do), but you always remained there to catch me when I was about to fall down. I am proud that God gave you to me, even if for a short while.
I laugh about when you told me that you loved my hubby-to-be so much that if I ever leave him, you would date him yourself! hahaha
Months before you passed, you personally asked Ernie Roberts to walk your daughter down the aisle, in the case that you couldn't make it. While my heart breaks that you knew you wouldn't physically be present, I also feel joy that you selected such a worthy substitute.
R.I.P. Dad- I know you will be watching from Heaven!
Love, NeeHoo
Donna
Dear Mudder,
You are a lady who has tremendous strength, and I am proud to call you my "Mudder" (I can still hear Dad's baby talk voice when he gave you the nickname).
I witnessed your relentless dedication as you traveled the last 13 years of my dad's journey in life with him. You took me into your home when I was 18 years old, and treated me like your own, and still do to this day.
We have had lots of laughs, plenty of cries, and countless hugs. I am sure we will share some more on wedding day!
Love, Nevy

Dear Lil Ernie & Mama Juby,
You are two people who have stepped up to the plate for all my years- to teach me things like stopping to smell the roses, how to shoot a camera, and living life in the moment.
In the absence of my daddy, there is no one I'd rather walk down the aisle with than my honorary father. And while some women are lucky enough to have their mothers present on their wedding days, I get to have two! You two will never know how much you mean to me.
I love you, Mama Juby & Lil Ernie.
Hugs, Vona |

Mohammad
Dear Father,
I can truly say that you are my teacher and friend - and sometimes a little pain, but hey- you gotta take the bad with the good! hahaha. You have taught me so many lessons business and in life- I know that I wouldn't have come so far without you.
You continue to offer your advice daily, and show so much dedication to my success and happiness. I am lucky to have you as a leader and as a dad.
Love, Camron
Nahid
Dear Nahid,
Even though you are my stepmom, you have always shown me love as if I were your own. It seems like you find joy in things like making my favorite meals and watching tv shows together like, "Dancing with the Stars" and "America's Got Talent."
You have built so many memories and dreams with me, I don't know if I could ever repay you. You are a treasure, and we are blessed to have you.
Love, Camron |

Dear Mom,
Some of my fondest memories were spent with you, at the movie theater, or at your kitchen table (eating your hot salsa or delicious curry and roti)... by the way, no one on earth can make better roti!
You have one of the sweetest hearts and sensitive personalities of anyone, and so I often give you multiple hugs before saying goodbye, because I know they are genuine.
Since you were one of the people who asked me when I was getting married the most, I will look for happy tears streaming from your eyes on wedding day.
Love, Camron |
